TruTimer comes with ready-made timer templates for HIIT, Tabata, AMRAP, EMOM, boxing, MMA and Muay Thai rounds, running intervals, strength circuits, holds and mindfulness. Tap one, start the clock, and let the voice cues tell you what’s next, so you never have to look at your phone mid-set. Every template can be customized: exercises, durations, rounds and cues.
Short, high-intensity intervals with spoken cues on every switch, so you can keep your eyes off the screen.
The classic Tabata protocol: 20 seconds of all-out work, 10 seconds of rest, repeated for 8 rounds. Four minutes, with a spoken cue at every switch.
Ten rounds of 60 seconds hard and 60 seconds easy, a popular 10×1 interval format. TruTimer calls out “Hard” and “Easy” so you never have to look.
Twelve bodyweight exercises, 30 seconds each with 10 seconds of rest: jumping jacks, wall sit, push-ups, crunches, step-ups, squats, triceps dips, plank, high knees, lunges, push-up with rotation and side plank.
Long timed blocks with time-left calls, plus the classic one-minute-on-the-minute format.
20 minutes, as many rounds as possible of 5 pull-ups, 10 push-ups and 15 squats. Time-left calls at 15, 10, 5 and 1 minute, plus a final 10-second warning.

Every minute on the minute for 30 minutes: 5 pull-ups, 10 push-ups and 15 squats. Finish early and rest until the next minute starts, with a ten-second warning each minute.
Three rounds of five one-minute stations: wall ball, sumo deadlift high pull, box jump, push press and row for calories, with a minute of rest between rounds.
Bell-style beeps to start each round, a ten-second warning, and no spoken chatter talking over the bell.
Six 3-minute rounds with 1 minute of rest between them: the standard gym boxing round format. Change the number of rounds to fit your session.
Five 5-minute rounds with 1 minute of rest, a one-minute-left call and a ten-second warning in every round.

AMRAP stands for “as many rounds (or reps) as possible.” You set a fixed time, such as 20 minutes, and repeat a set of exercises as many times as you can. TruTimer’s AMRAP templates run the clock for you and call out the time remaining at 15, 10, 5 and 1 minute.
EMOM stands for “every minute on the minute.” At the start of each minute you do a set number of reps, then rest for whatever time is left before the next minute begins. TruTimer counts the minutes and warns you ten seconds before each new round.
A Tabata timer runs 20 seconds of maximum-effort work followed by 10 seconds of rest, repeated for 8 rounds (4 minutes total). TruTimer’s Tabata Circuit template does this with a spoken cue at every switch.
